Ze noemen hem ook wel de ‘Toughest Man Alive’ en dat is geheel terecht. David Goggins is een beest op gebied van doorzettingsvermogen! Hij is hét beest!

Er is geen man op deze planeet die taaier is op gebied van door blijven knallen dan deze 44-jarige eindbaas. Hij heeft afgelopen maand wederom een zieke uitdaging voltooid: de MOAB 200. Hij heeft in 5 dagen tijd maar liefst 386 kilometer hardgelopen. W.T.F !

David op Instagram

Op zijn Instagramfeed deelt hij wekelijks geweldige korte video’s waarin hij je graag helpt herinneren wat voor een pussy je bent. Je bent (mentaal) zwak, je bent (mentaal) slap, je bent een soft sneeuwvlokje! De lelijke waarheid doet zeer en David helpt je graag beseffen dat je het bent en wat je er aan moet doen.

In zijn Insta-video’s hoor je exact wat je moet horen zodat je vergeet dat je motivatie of puf nodig hebt om vandaag te doen wat er gedaan moet worden. STAY HARD!

So What’s Your Fucking Excuse? Life isn’t designed to be fair. I know we all want it to be, it’s just not. Plain and simple. There are and have always been racists, sexists, homophobes, etc. Some people come from a broken family, others want to play basketball but aren’t blessed with height, others want to be astronauts but aren’t the smartest in their class, etc. It can be as simple as making up every excuse in the world to not get in shape- it’s too hot, too cold, too many people at the gym, can’t afford a gym membership, etc. If we sit around long enough, we can create a fucked up reality…one that can take you for a fucking ride. Yes, these sad truths about our society and external elements and factors do exist BUT it is how you process and therefore handle these situations that determine the outcome of your life and the perception of your reality. There are times when you are being judged or held to a different standard than others for any number of reasons. This is when you take it upon yourself to be the baddest, most tenacious motherfucker to have ever done it! Whatever “it” is for you! If they dislike you for whatever reason, make them dislike you even more by being the best!

So many of us are waiting for the exact right time to attack. We wait for the stars to align before we make our move in life. While there are times the stars do all perfectly align & that miracles do happen, it is more often the case that it will never happen for you! If you don’t believe that life is one big test and we are the test subjects, you have another thing coming! No one is exempt from experiencing hardships in life. In the military, we carry rucks in which we put all of our gear. In life, that rucksack is filled w/ all the shit that we carry around that we never dealt w/ in our lives. It is up to you what you want to continue to carry in your rucksack & allow to weigh you down! If you choose to empty that motherfucker out, choose to pull out 1 item at a time. For me, the 1st item was my insecurities. Once I fixed that, I stared shedding some weight. There are so many days when we don’t feel like working on ourselves- when it would be much easier to stay in bed and not get up, when it would be easier to say fuck it to putting on the running shoes, when it is easier to buy the box of mini-chocolate donuts, etc. Some times it feels so damn good to just be the victim. Having that mentality is the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card. One thing bad about that mentality is that NOTHING fucking gets done! So when you fail (and I don’t mean not win, I mean an inability to try!) and you feel like a loser and worthless, it is because you have made a decision to fail. You have made a decision to stay in bed, etc. A lot of people frequently say “there is always tomorrow”…the truth is there just May not be! There is only today and what you make of it! You have to learn to do when you don’t want to do! When that alarm clock goes off & ur mind says “not today,” there has to be something in you that overrides that bullshit that you are telling yourself. There has to be a drill sergeant in your mind banging that trash can not allowing you to take the easy way out. The hard part is this- that drill sergeant doesn’t exist! You have to create him/her! What helps me on those bad days is reminding myself of all those dark days where I chose to let myself down.

Life should never be about winning or losing! It’s about doing the best you can with whatever you have to work with! It’s so much easier to listen to that soft fucking voice that says all the right things at all the right times!!! You all know that fucking voice! It’s called the voice of extreme comfort. That voice tells you to “sleep in, you’ve studied enough, it’s too cold outside to workout so we should just take the day off, etc.” It’s that voice that says “my mom wasn’t there for me, my dad wasn’t there for me, I was bullied, etc., so it’s ok to give up when life gets hard.” Boy we love that voice! But….there is another voice. I call it The Whisper. It’s not as loud as the weak-ass voice. It’s not loud because we try not to hear it!!! This voice says “wake the fuck up, motherfucker! You have done enough yet!” It says “you missed a rep at the gym go back and do the entire workout again.” After you studied for 4 hours this voice says “we have 4 more motherfucker!” Success comes when The Fucking Whisper becomes the only voice you hear! You are not done, motherfucker! Stay hard!

If you are looking for soft, feel-good messages, maybe you should check out @softmotherfucker as you aren’t going to find them here! No one wants to see comments asking whether I am “wearing sunscreen” or saying “it is too hot and dangerous to be running in this heat” or “do you do anything other than workout?” Those of you who get my message understand it is about being better and getting better. It’s NOT about being like me! I am not encouraging you to go out scorch your ass off in the fucking heat! These are the things I do to get better and push my personal limits. I am that motherfucker who looks at the weather for the worst days and, while most people are avoiding them, I am running towards them! I AM asking you whether you have 30 minutes or whatever it takes in your day to push yourself to get better, to do what you don’t want to do, to push your perceived limits. A lot of other people and I have also talked about getting comfortable being uncomfortable. I want to apologize for that as it isn’t even about being uncomfortable for most people. It’s simply about not being lazy. If 30 minutes or an hour is uncomfortable, while it may not be fun, it is a responsibility we have to ourselves. None of us truly “want” to do it but it is those people who do it when they don’t want to who separate themselves from everyone else. The softer you are on yourself, inevitably the softer you will become! Anyone of us can be a savage, you just have to be willing to do what others don’t want to do! Stay hard!
